Interpreting services in Hungary

Need to sort something out in Hungary but don't speak Hungarian? Perhaps you're buying a property, visiting a bank or attending an important meeting and need someone to interpret for you.

We provide in-person interpreting services in Budapest and across Hungary, helping you communicate with estate agents, banks, local businesses and service providers.

What can we help with?

Our interpreters can accompany you to a range of everyday and business appointments, including:

• Property purchases and viewings – communicating with estate agents, sellers and property owners.
• Bank appointments – understanding questions and communicating with bank staff.
• Business meetings – discussions with Hungarian companies, suppliers and business partners.
• Shopping – buying furniture, vehicles, equipment or other goods.
• Everyday appointments – communicating with local businesses and service providers.
• Business and everyday paperwork – discussing everyday business documents, contracts and forms with companies and service providers.

Even if you've spent some time in Hungary, dealing with important matters in Hungarian can be difficult. An interpreter can help you understand what's being said and make sure your own questions are understood.

We do not provide interpreting for court, police or official administrative proceedings.

Some financial, technical or specialist matters may require additional expertise. We will discuss your appointment in advance to make sure we can provide suitable assistance.

Interpreting Fees

€60 / hour

Any part of an hour is charged as a full hour. Any travel expenses are charged separately.

Payment: No deposit is required when booking. You can pay in advance by bank transfer or in cash. Cash payment arrangements are agreed when booking.

Interpreter availability varies by language, so all appointments must be arranged in advance.

Where do we provide interpreting in Hungary?

Our interpreting service is available in Budapest and, by prior arrangement, elsewhere in Hungary. If you need an interpreter outside Budapest, please contact us to discuss the location and any additional travel costs.
